Got Me Talkin' 'bout A Heat Wave!

It is hot here in Alaska! I don't think I would have ever thought that is could be this hot. Sunday it got up to 80 degrees. Now, I am from the south and I know hot and I have been in hotter weather. But, atleast I had some air conditioning to escape to. We have windows. It also doesn't help that the sun is up all the time, so there isn't much cooling down time. I am thankful for the nice weather, don't get me wrong, but it is really hard when you are trying to get to sleep. The weather man said he hasn't seen a 7 day forecast that has 70 degrees across the board. I would buy the girls a little swimming pool, but as soon as I do, I am sure it will get cold again. They are getting nice little tans since we are outside most of the day. Thankfully, they have their Daddy's ability to tan fast. I haven't had to deal with sunburns on anyone but me. I do have nice tan lines on my feet though. I better enjoy it while I can. I know soon the rainy season starts and then comes the snow...and the dark.
