Today I am 31

Today I am 31.
I am officially IN my 30's.

Birthdays are a reflective time for me.

Now that I have spent one year being 30, I have come to a few realizations.

- 30 is not as scary as everyone makes it out to be.
- I have more confidence in who I am as a person than ever before.
- My faith in God is stronger than it has ever been.
- That I am desperately in need of a Savior every day.
- I am not perfect and that is ok.
-Don't take yourself too seriously...laughing at yourself is freeing.
- I am blessed far more than I deserve.
- You are never too old to learn something new.
-What mattered when you were 21 matters not now.
- Gray hair is fine and doesn't need to be covered up.

(Which leads me to my next realization)

-Gray hair is fine UNLESS it is on your chin.  I am confident that I will be the bearded lady when I am in my 70's.  You think I kid...I do not!

- And no matter how old I get, I will never get use to taking self-portraits.  They are just plain awkward.  And this is what I think of them...

To take this photo shoot of myself, I needed the help of two little people and one furry friend. :)

Olivia helped me mark my focus point.  And Campbell...well...she found out how fun the remote was....and that you can see your image on the LCD screen.

Here are the out takes, because they were just to fun not to post....

This is for my husband...it made him laugh out loud.
