A Little Prayer

Last night I was reading my Bible, when out pops an index card. On the card a prayer was written.

LORD,
I ask for true joy, peace, happiness, meaning, hope and fulfillment in life that can only come from you on your terms. I acknowledge my dependence on you.
Amen

I thought it was kind of neat how it just "fell" out of my Bible.

I think so many times, especially us moms, try to find all those things through keeping a clean house, having nice things, having "perfect" children, etc. that we lose sight of the fact that those things only come from God. I have come to realize that when I completely depend on Him everything for me is different...the way I view people and situations and the way I act. When you completely depend on Him, everything falls into place according to him plan.
