Last Day of 27 Years

Today is the last day of my 27th year of life. It is crazy to me that I am that much closer to 30, you know, when life ends...haha. Atleast, that is what I thought when I was so much younger. Now that I am almost there, it doesn't seem that old at all. Most of the time, I don't feel like I am that old, then there are other times I feel so much older. Of course, it doesn't help that most people think I am already in my 30's. I do not know why...maybe the kids??? I honestly don't know.
What to know what we did today? Shoveled snow, what else? I mentioned that it has been snowing for the past 2 days. Today was wonderfully sunny. I secretly hoping that my neighbor would do it for me, because he did when ever JT was gone. I have very nice neighbors and I am very thankful for all their help. But they didn't shovel the snow. I am perfectly capable of doing it myself, but it is nice to have that taken off my plate. I got Sutton down for a nap, dressed us up in our snow attire and we headed off to shovel. I figured it would take me just an hour. I was wrong! It took me an hour to shovel 1/4 of the area I am responsible for. The girls had fun. They climbed the "mountain" and slid down it. They "helped" me shovel the snow (more like shovel it around). I saved the worst of it for last. I was sweating and my back was aching. I thought to myself, "I'm giving up, this is too much." Just then my phone rang. My friend called because her husband wanted to know if I needed snow shoveled! I mean was that a God thing or what? I said "YES!" What a relief! He came over and got the rest of it taken care of.
Just before this happened the girls asked for a snack. They wanted bagels. They are old enough to get it themselves, so they went in and got a snack. When I went inside, I found an empty bagel bag and my dog standing over it. Huumm...I wonder where they went? As I rounded the corner, Olivia quickly shoved a chip in her mouth. I saw the fridge open and I heard a butter knife fall. Olivia was dipping her chips in butter. Note to self...never leave the girls in charge of their own snacks when I am not around to supervise.
I got to hear from JT, who called because it is already my birthday where he is. It was good to hear from him, but I only get to talk with him for about 2 minutes. Literally.
I am off to bed early tonight, we have a lot to do tomorrow. All of us were sick last week, so we got behind. It is time to catch up.
