Ain't No Stopping Her Now

Once my third born started crawling, I kind of knew what I was in for. I was in no hurry to teach her anything, and if the older sisters tried to teach her certain things I would quickly "shush" them.
I remember Ella as a crawler. She would attempt to get into things, but she would stop as soon as I said, "No." I never had to baby proof the house with her. To this day she may attempt to defy me, but she usually learns after the first or second time.
Then there was Olivia. *Sigh* I think I lost all my baby weight as soon as she started crawling. There was no stopping her. She wanted to do what she wanted to do when she wanted to do it. And she is still that way many days, only she is learning to be sneaky about the things she has been told not to do. But she is starting to come around. She is my strong-willed child. I bought that book(The Strong-willed Child) and stopped reading it when Dr. Dobson said that it will never change.
Now we are on to Sutton Grace. I had a feeling she would fall somewhere in between. And she has.
She has found the electrical outlets. They are covered, but she can get the covers out. Why? Because the outlets are the same outlets that were here when the house was built in 1950! Yes, she has shocked herself and thankfully no one was seriously hurt. She doesn't mess with them much anymore.
I let her discover the stairs on her own. I knew once she figured them out, there would be no stopping her. I wasn't in a hurry. The stairs are her favorite. I have them blocked on one side, but she has figured out she can crawl around a wall to get to the other side. Thankfully, she isn't a fast crawler...yet.

Her new obsession is the cabinet doors and pulling everything out of them. This I don't mind so much. It at least distracts her on her way to the stairs.

She loves to "help" me when I do dishes. I now do them, when they are still eating or asleep or I just put Sutton in the exersaucer.

And who doesn't like pulling tissue out of the tissue box? By the way, that is still a mess I have to clean in the morning.
