Let's Play in the Sprinkler

After days of Ella telling me she was "boiling hot" outside, I decided that today being in the 70's and sunny would be a good day to let the kids play in the sprinkler.  Yes...I said 70's.  Those in the south would say that is perfect weather.  Well, here it is "boiling".  I can't explain the weather difference, but you just don't get it until you have experienced it.  Just like I laugh at my southern friends who say 30 degrees is cold.

But...

Anyways....

I brought out the sprinkler, we invited some friends over.  And this is what the back yard looked like.

Where are the kids you ask?  They didn't want to play in it!
They said the water was to cold...but then complain they were hot.
The water coming out of the faucet up here is cold, not lukewarm.

But eventually, they played in it.  They pretended is was a monster, and they had to kill the monster.

It was a fun day...AND I got some adult conversation time in with a dear friend!
