You Got Something On Your Face

Campbell (or "Cam-ba" as Sutton says it), started rice cereal...well, she ate it once.  And by "ate it", she spit most of it out.

I don't actively try feeding food to my kids until 6 months...and even then, it is once a day til about 7 months.

I remember feeding Ella for the first time, and I couldn't figure out why most of it ended up on her bib than in her mouth.  I mean it was food...goodish food...baby food makes me gag.  Maybe that is why I feed them table food as soon as I can.

Anyways...I asked the doctor about it.
Why couldn't she eat like me???
Did you know babies have to learn to eat with a spoon?
Well, I didn't.

Now I do...which is why we do a celebratory "Yay, we can eat something other than just breast milk!" meal.  I do it around 4 months...and don't really try again unless I feel up to it before 6 months.

But Campbell, is the only one of my children that went in for a second bite with her mouth wide open.
I guess she liked that rice...well, the little bit she swallowed.
