I have always loved Halloween. I think dressing up is fun. Candy is even FUNNER! (yes, I know "funner" is not a word.)
Halloween ushers in fall to me. The air is crisp and cool for the most part...I am talking about living in the south here. It is also the start of the holiday season.
A few days before Halloween, we went to the Trunk or Treat with JT's work. The kids were excited to go. I got excited to dress up JT's truck. They got loads of candy!
Olivia was a cowgirl, Sutton was an ice cream cone, and Ella was a bride (later she turned into a vampire bride when she was given vampire teeth). Note the coats...we don't get to show off our awesome costumes here in Alaska, we cover them up.
This is my 2nd place winning "trunk" in the Trunk or Treat. You have to see it at night to get the full effect. There was a black light, so everything glowed. JT had his stereo playing spooky tunes...you know...spooky like Thriller, Monster Mash, and The Purple People Eater.
This maybe weird that I like this photo because of the army truck in the background. I am sure it has a proper name...but I don't care and you probably don't either.
The army is so much a part of our lives. It dictates our everyday for the most part. While I get frustrated with it (A LOT), I will look back on these pictures with fondness.
And don't think all the big sisters got to have all the fun, my little Cotton Candy was in on the action too.
She is the only one that didn't get to pick her own costume...sorry Campbell.
Sorry, there are no pictures of actual Halloween. I wasn't going to take my camera out in the blizzard we had going on...ok...maybe no a blizzard, but close.
