Well, the snow has been here. And it certainly has made it's presence know!
I have shoveled snow every day this past week, except 2 days...that is 5 days and it isn't just an inch here and an inch there. In one 24 hr period, we got 8 inches of snow...that night I saw the biggest snow flakes I have ever seen in my life! They were a good bit larger than a silver dollar.
The kids love playing in the snow. I love playing in it, but by the time I am finished shoveling my "area of responsibility" (our driveway which is 2 car lengths, 2 parking spaces, and the side walk), I am tired of snow, and I don't play in it so much.
I am having to keep my 2 youngest in from the cold. Apparently, the cold weather causing them to have eczema...Sutton Grace's is really bad.
But all in all, the snow really isn't as bad as I play it up to be before it falls.
I am choosing to be positive about it..
Shoveling= great cardio and strength training workout.
Fresh snow= snow cream
The first snow= it makes it feel warmer outside...weird, I know
Cold weather= warm food, baking and more baking...ah, who and I kidding? You can do that any time of year in Alaska!
