No Gagging

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Ours was wonderful...relaxing.  I loved this Christmas and New Year.

If you are friends with me on Facebook, you may recall a post asking a question about babies gagging when they eat baby food.
Whenever I fed Campbell, she would gag to the point of throwing up.  This is not my first child to introduce to foods (obviously), it was weird to me.  I did everything right.  I put a tiny bit on her spoon and put it to her lips to let her bring in the food.  As soon as it hit the back of her throat...gag...gag...gag...throw up!
I did my research and came to the conclusion, she just wasn't ready to eat solids yet.

So, whenever I ate, I would put a bit of food on my finger and introduce it to her.  We were able to do that with some success.  I try the spoon again...gag...throw up.

Here we are, almost 7 months and tonight, she ate several bites without throwing up!!!
YAY!!  On to bigger and better meals!
Good thing too, because she gets very upset when we are eating "real" food and she is not.

On a side note...that high chair was a cheap $30 chair we picked up when Ella was a baby.  It has helped feed 4 children.  It will remain in my kitchen for another year or so and then given away or tossed out.
So much of my baby equipment and clothes are getting their final usage...it is bitter sweet!

Campbell and I look alike don't you think?? haha
