Ella is Beginning to Like Reading

It has been a long road...slow...bumpy.

But it seems as though she is picking it up.

Don't let her fool you, she will tell you she doesn't know what a word says.  Give her a little push and a little time to think over her reading rules...she will get it.

It is tough for her, but I am so proud of her for picking up books and reading to her baby sister.  I love the amazement she gets when she "reads a word without even thinking about it" (her words).

Reading will not be her favorite subject, because she really struggles with it.  She is more my math and science lover.  But she has to know how to do it.  I really believe in her reading curriculum.  It has been a life saver for me and her.  She is still a little behind her age group, but that is ok.  She is doing way better than she was at the beginning of the year.
