Everybody's Irish on St. Patty's Day

We celebrated a little of our Irish heritage today...along with everyone else in America.  But we for go the corn beef and cabbage around here.

I went to the store today and got everything on my list...except "Irish" stuff as Ella calls it.

She was devastated.  I felt bad.  I had to think quick on my feet.  

What could I do?

Sugar cookies...but I don't have anymore green sprinkles.  Maybe I cold shape the cookies like shamrocks...no...too much work.  Circles...they can drawn their own shamrocks with icing!  Brilliant!

So, I made one as an example.

Don't laugh...stop laughing.  

It is a shamrock.  

I promise.  

So, I can't draw and doing it with icing is even harder.

But they had fun.  

I was able to take a "horrible" (according to Ella) circumstance and turn it into the "best day ever"(according to Ella).  You know that if your kids say this is the best day ever...you did good.  We even danced a little Irish jig.  Dancing cures all sort of ills.
