Vintage?

Would a 30 year old camera be considered vintage?
If so I have one.

My Dad (the professional photographer) bought this camera when I was born.

He gave it to me a long time ago.

I like to think that I was what got him into the photography business!

Anyways, it is neat to get a film camera out and look at it.  It is so different than what I use today.  Mine is much bigger by comparison.  The lens has the aperture setting on it.  The ISO and the shutter speed are easy to find.  And you have to wind your film.

I let Olivia play with it.  She was fascinated by it!
I told her how to use it.

She took a few shots and then tried to look at them on the LCD screen.  HA!  She was puzzled when I told her you can't.  That the image was taken on film.  I had to get it developed for her to look at.  She was even more puzzled.  It was as if I was talking a foreign language. I guess in a way I was.

She had Ella focus the picture for her.  That was confusing for them also.

It is funny how far we have come in 30 years...even just a few years.

I remember sitting in the dark room with my Dad as a child.  I can smell it now!  It is way cool seeing an image appear out of what seems like now where.

This camera brings back tons of good memories for me.

I don't use it...it is more of a decoration now.  A decoration that I will be taking to the local camera shop and having cleaned.

I wonder what the cameras will look like when my children are older?
