The hubs went out to check the mail. He came rushing (as fast as he can) to let me know the Aurora was out. I threw on my coat and boots and went to go wake up Ella and Olivia. JT did it for me (wake up the girls) so I could go out and see them.
And Oh my goodness! Was it amazing!
They were literally dancing across the sky.
What an amazing piece of art we got to witness!
I ran to get my camera.
Struggled to get it set up on my tripod and tried to desperately recall what I had read LAST YEAR on how to capture the lights.
I finally figured it out with the help of a neighbor.
But unfortunately, they are still crappy pictures.
And even if my settings were perfect and my focus was crystal clear, the camera would never capture the beauty and wonder of the Northern Lights.
I love this state!
The things we get to experience is like none other.

I wrote this on Facebook, but it is really my DREAM to see the Aurora Borealis! It's just one more reason I really want to go to Alaska! I'm so happy you got to see it!
