Evening Light and Blueberry Eatin'

(This is my grandmother on my mom's side.  I have seen that face a thousand times.  I love seeing my relatives in my children's faces.)

I love this time of year in Alaska.  The seasons are rapidly changing and the days are getting longer.  You can see the change day by day.  The sun is setting and it brings the best light into our kitchen.  I love when the kids sit at the counter, because the light reflects off the counter and into their eyes.  They sparkle.
This time of day, all of the girls are in the kitchen area while I prep dinner.  Most of the time they are coloring and snacking in some fruit to prevent the evening meltdown.  Blueberries are starting to show up in the grocery stores, so I bought some, and they chowed down on them.
Who knew eating blueberries could be so much fun and cute?
I am not sure, though, if it was the blueberries she enjoyed or hamming it up for the camera!
