New Camera

So, I have been wanting a new camera for awhile now. I love the portablilty of my small one, but I wanted a semi-pro one. I didn't need anything too fancy. I just wanted good shutter speed and better pixels. I have been looking around for awhile. It is easy to sucked into the really expensive ones that offer everything, but I am not a professional by any means. I just want awesome pictures.
Tonight, I got my wish! I got a new camera for Mother's Day. I could have gotten one awhile back, but I just kept putting it off thinking maybe I didn't really want one that bad. Well, now that I am here in Alaska and I don't have my dad around all the time to take pictures (for those that don't know, he is a professional photographer), I realized I couldn't wait any longer. So, my search began again. I got a Nikon D60. It is very good for what I am looking for. It gives me the quailty pictures I want and the shutter speed I was looking for.
I played around with it and got a few pictures of the dogs. Tank always cooperates. Kujo, on the other hand, always looks away. I think he gets a little scared. I will also through one in there that JT took of "his chair".
With this, I will be able to take awesome pictures of Alaska. We are planning on for going most of the organizing this weekend, so we can explore some places we haven't yet. Look back on Monday, especially, for new photos.
