A New Home

I know in the past I have complained about our really small house. I had pretty much given up hope that housing would offer us something bigger. But they did! They called JT on a Thursday and we moved the next day. It was crazy, but we did it. I can't tell you how thankful I am to have a bigger place for us to move around in. We have almost unpacked everything now. The girls love it, because they now have a play room (the basement). In the winter time here you are stuck inside a lot of the time. The small house was getting cramped fast and I was going crazy. My stress level in the bigger house is practically non-existent.
With us moving to another house, I have decided to stay in Alaska while JT deployed. I was planning on going back home, but I never felt good about that decision. If we moved that would mean we would have moved and be moving every 6 months to a year. That is way to much. We need a place to call home and to just be for awhile. While it will be hard when JT is gone, I won't be alone. I have some good friends here. The kids have plenty of other kids to play with. And I will be making 2 trips back home to visit family. I have been through one deployment, I know what to expect. It won't be easy, but I know I can do it.

Mom and I were talking about possibly coming out this summer to visit you as well! I may have to work some this summer, but if you wanted, I could easily stay a couple of weeks. I can keep you company and spend some quality time with my girls!

Hi Sarah! So glad that God blessed you with a bigger house! I just wanted to encourage you and tell you that you will do great on your own during this next deployment. My family really wanted me to come home again but it has been such a good decision for me to stay here. I feel like I have a more established routine now that the girls are older. I don't regret moving home the last time, but feel that this time I needed to stay here and give my girls some stability in staying in one place for awhile! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I'm just now catching up with the blog... CONGRATS on the house upgrade - that's fabulous! What a blessing! I would say "please post some pics" but you might have done that in another post after this, so I'll read on to find out.

I will be praying for you about JT's deployment. You are an amazing woman, Sarah. Thank you for what you and your family does for our country! Thank you!
