Sorry, to all those that read this blog. It has been hard getting back into my normal routine since the hubs went back. We had a very nice time while he was home. It was great just to be together hanging out at home or around town.
Last week, was our first week back for school. At least it was supposed to be. Olivia got sick on Tuesday with a stomach bug. Apparently, it is going around, but I didn't know. We were in a bubble for the past 2 weeks. With Olivia sick, I brought school down to the kitchen table for Ella. It was a miserable day trying to get her back into the routine. She apparently forgot how to identify all her alphabet and her numbers.
That night, she was trying to convince me she was sick to. I didn't think she was. She has an issue with others getting more attention than her, so I figured she just wanted the same attention Olivia got. Well, at 9pm that night, I was proven wrong, and I had a big mess to clean up.
So, school for Wednesday was canceled. Ella couldn't move without throwing up, so I figured it was best to just let her lay there. Sutton started acting like she didn't feel great and stayed in my lap all that day and took a 3 hour nap.
The next day, Ella was still sick, you could see it in her face. So, we picked school back up on Friday. The first week back to school did not go as planned, and we are far behind, but thankfully, with homeschool that is not a big deal. I can double up, I can take away some off days, or I can just extend our school year by a week. I will probably extend our school year by a week. We will still be ending earlier than the schools here.
With all the sickness going on and the special treatment, Ella has picked up a few new tricks. This morning after breakfast, I told the girls to go make up their beds and brush their teeth so we can get started with school. Ella says, "Awwww, I don't want to do school. Mommy, feel my head, I think I have a fever." HAHA
I promise I will try to get into more of a routine, it may take a little bit longer, but I will get there. I still have a laundry that is piled up that needs to be folded and put away along with the normal day to day things.
It is getting colder, so we will be inside a bit more too. There is already snow on the tops on the mountains, so snow will be on the ground within 30 days. The night time temps are in the 20's and the sun is rising later and going down earlier. It is beautiful here, the mountains are covered in red, yellow, purple, green and white. It is pretty awesome to look at. I just wish fall would stay around for longer than a couple weeks.

In a weird way, you get use to it. I miss him so much all the time, though. He is my best friend and it is hard not to be able to talk to him about things.
I am soooo trying your pumpkin muffins very soon! I have been wanting a good pumkin recipe of some sort and this seems just right. love you!
