I know as moms we always feel like we are saying "no". Well, I do at least.
I get that mommy guilt, especially when it is a simple request, but time or circumstances don't allow for it at times.
Shortly after Campbell was born, I seemed to say "no" a lot more.
So, when the girls asked me to build a tent...I said "yes", but truth be told it took me a day to build it. Between feeding and holding a baby...taking care of an immobile husband, 2 dogs and the rest of the kids....meal time...I just forgot about it.
But I did do it, so that night when they asked to sleep in it, I said "yes" again. They were so excited! I mean how could I not say yes? It took me more than a day to build it, and when I did, it was so close to bed time.
They got to sleep in it for 2 nights...it was fun!
I hope to say "Yes" a little more around here.
And by they way, this was taken at midnight....there is a lot of light sun shining in their room.
