Planking Above Zero

Well, the temps are in the teens (really close to 20 degrees...yay!!).
When the temps get really close to 20...the grill gets fired up.

I love our grill, it has a gas side, a charcoal side, and a smoker.  
Grilling is so much a part of what we do as a family.  


Like the amount of snow on the grill?  Can you believe that a good bit of that melted earlier in the season?  

I can't wait til summer when we grill most every night.

When JT was deployed, I would get so sad when I would smell someone grilling.  It was just another reminder that he wasn't here.


JT got cedar planks for Christmas.  We really wanted to try fish on them.  
This is halibut with some southwestern chipotle seasoning.  

YUM!!

The plank gave it a nice smokey flavor all through out the meat.

I am thinking salmon for the next one.
