Takin' It Easy

This weekend was an take it easy do nothing weekend.

Since JT posted something about it on his facebook, I figure it is fine to talk about it here...

After a procedure to treat JT's pain, he lost the use of both his legs.
It was the doctor's fault, he took responsibility for it.  Any other person this would not have happened, but because of JT's nerve damage, it happened.  (We do not have bad feelings towards this doctor at all....and we ask those close to us to not either.  He is probably one of the many doctors he has that cares greatly for JT and is trying everything he can to help him.)

No doctor knows why this happened or what exactly happened.

After a couple days, he regained use of his left leg, but his right leg is still having problems.  He isn't very sure footed when he stands or tries to walk.  But atleast, he can stand, though not for long.

He was making progress...slowly...but progress.
It seems to have plateaued now....and we have no answers.  Just prayer.

I don't talk much about JT's health on here or on facebook and neither does he.  There are so many things wrong (and yes, they all are a result of his deployments).  We don't have many answers to anything, which is probably why we don't talk about it much in a public forum.  We will never go into detail on facebook or here...there really isn't any need to.
We don't get much hope from the doctors for each condition.
We try to stay positive, but there are days when we ask "why?" and "how come?"  I mean, we are human after all.  But even though it is hard, we are fully aware of how blessed we are that he is home...he has all his body parts (while they may not work well right now)...he is still here mentally.  For those things we are grateful.

We do ask for prayers.
And honestly, I am not sure what exactly I would like for you to pray for....there is a lot.

Wow, Sarah. I had no idea. Praying for JT, you, and the girls as often as I think of you. It's amazing to see your positive attitude, which I know is evidence of Him working in your lives.

Thanks Abbey! I really feel God was preparing me for this time during JT's deployment. I never knew what was ahead, but I could feel it.
