53 Degrees

We woke up this morning to 53 degrees.

53 DEGREES!!

IN JANUARY!

IN ALASKA!

This has by far been the weirdest winter I have experienced. It was super cold at the beginning and now it is warm.
It has made for icy and dangerous driving conditions.  Thankfully, road crews have been working around the clock to make sure that they get as much ice and water off the roads.  But the days aren't long enough for things to dry up, so the water freezes over night.

Back home they cancel school when it gets cold and snows.
In Alaska, they cancel school when it gets warm in the winter.

I can't believe that you can see grass in most of my yard.

I do hope it snows soon, because it is just not suppose to be this way for atleast another couple months.

But the ice, water and sunset sure do make for some beautiful pictures!
