I think is only snows here when my husband is gone. Atleast, that is how it seems. I woke up this morning and took the dog out. I had noticed a difference in the amount of snow in the yard. My fence is almost covered up (it is the height of a normal chainlink). While still in my pjs (capri pants and sweatshrit), I got my boots on and went to take out the trash. I walked outside and only got to the bottom step, when I heard my neighbor laugh. She was outside shoveling. I wasn't prepared to take the trash to the street. I turned right back around and went inside to put on more appropriate clothes. When I got back outside, I found out how deep the snow was...it was up to my knees! I am tall, 5'11 and long legged. I dragged the garabage out to the street. Have you ever taken a full garabage can out to the steet in a foot and a half of snow? Not easy. And it is still snowing.
We are settled in right now, school done for the day. The girls are watching Where the Wild Things Are aka The Wildness in my house. They did attempt to play in the snow...for only a minute. The winds are pretty bad and it is snowing a good bit. I have pictures to post, but it doesn't do it justice. I will load them up later tonight.

seriously - I cannot imagine that much snow. Never seen it - except on the slopes of CO when I was in high school once. Can't imagine the day to day tasks with that much white stuff all around. you're a trooper. :)
