A Picnic Lunch

Awhile back I promised the girls that every sunny day we would eat lunch outside. Well, we haven't had too many of those days. We broke a record here in Anchorage for the most consecutive days of rain...33 days. FUN! But yesterday, the sun came out, and thankfully, it was out today. After school was finished, I fixed lunch, and we ate outside.
Want to know what they are looking at?

Sutton Grace spilled her lima beans, and she was eating them off the porch!!

You know that saying: "God made dirt. Dirt don't hurt. Put it in your mouth and watch it work." Well, for some reason even that didn't give me comfort. Maybe it was the fact that the beans were wet, and I was thinking about us walking on the porch with whatever was on our shoes...EEWW! So, I swept them between the boards and gave her her sandwich. I wonder if we will have lima beans growing next year? hmm?

For those that we wondering, today was a lot better than yesterday. I could feel the presence of God. There were times when I could feel myself start to tense up, but I was reminded everytime to relax and give it to God.

I can totally relate to your feelings yesterday...I blamed mine on my hormones. While weaning Maggie and now that she's not nursing at all, I have crazy feeling moments! Hang in there. Thank goodness for God's love and patience!

I love the pic of Ella and Olivia. Olivia is grossed out and Ella is curious in almost a "mom" sort of way. Too cute!
