I love to craft, but between school, cleaning, general playing with the kids and a sick husband, there isn't much time left for it. I can spend hours and tons of money in a craft store!
Sutton Grace was taking a nap, Olivia was gone on a errand with JT, so it was Ella and I. I wanted to do something fun with her...not just sit her in front of the tv while I cleaned (the house does need to be cleaned, but children don't stay little forever).
So, I got out my cross stitching. I started doing it when I was about 9 years old. It is not something I do on a regular basis as I still have the 2 projects I started when I was a teen in my sewing box. I showed them to her and asked if she wanted to learn.
She LOVES crafts as well, so she, of course, said yes.
I drew a small flower on some fabric scraps and let her at it. She did a great job!
At this point, she told me "I can't wait to show Toto!"
It was fun one on one mother and daughter time...time that comes around rarely.

aw, fun. i look forward to the day ec can do more stuff like that:)
sweet! What a good idea to draw a flower and let her "trace" in a sewing motion. That's awesome! Be sure to show us the finished product.
