In the morning (June 3), JT is going to have surgery to remove a hidden hernia. After a long 6 months of test, experimenting with medication and waiting, we are now there with a correct diagnosis.
It is funny (not so much) that while he was still in Afghanistan, they ruled out a hernia right away. It wasn't until he changed doctors here in Alaska that they realize it really was a hernia...just not in the normal place...hidden from view of the CT scans.
It has been a hard, long 6 months. Having something wrong with you and no one being able to figure it out is very frustrating! It takes a toll on you at times, and it can be hard to stay positive. I can't describe the weight that was lifted off our shoulders the day the doctors figured it out.
Thankfully, it will all be over tomorrow! My husband will return. He will be able to do all the activity that he has been wanting to do (after recovery of course). The girls are excited because they will be able to "jump on Daddy".
AND yes, I am due in 4 days...
My husband has gone to pick my mother in law up from the airport as I write this. It will be really nice to have her here during this time. We have great friends to help us, but it is always great to have a family member (a mom) to come and stay and take care of things.
I am just hoping I don't go into labor during his surgery. They will just have to wheel him into the delivery room for his recovery. ;)

Praise God! So thankful you guys have a diagnosis and I'm praying for a quick recovery for the hubs!
Can't wait to meet #4 on the blog. She'll be beautiful just like your other three, no doubt!
