I love me some Paula Deen....IN MODERATION!
Most of her recipes are filled with butter and fat. She cooks the way we did long ago. But we needed that extra fat because most people were laborers of some sort. It was worked off.
Now days we don't work that way, so we don't need to cook with all that fat.
But it taste so good!
Anyways, to ignore the temptation of Mrs. Paula, I decided to try to get my littlest to smile at the camera. I love her smile. It brightens any day...or middle of the night.
She will look at it, but just won't smile.
Ok, back to Mrs. Paula...
If you want a great cinnamon roll recipe, try hers. I have only made these twice. Once for Christmas morning and once on Saturday. I make the recipe all the way up to letting the rolls rise for 45 min. When it comes to that step, I cover and throw them in the fridge. In the morning, I pull them out and let them rise about 2 hours. Set your alarm and then go back to sleep.
In true Paula Deen fashion, I don't measure the filling. And I have my own glaze recipe. I personally like a cream cheese glaze. Take the recipe and add one package of cream cheese...you may have to all a little more milk (I substitute the hot water in her recipe for milk).
The kids beg for them all the time, but this is a special treat.
Oh! there is that smile! But not right at the camera...isn't it the cutest?
