A Little Adventurin'

It is always fun when we have visitors.  

It is always fun when JT's aunt and uncle visit.

We joked and said that we see more of Alaska when they visit than any other time of the year.

And it is true.

We went for a short hike at Hatcher's Pass.

It is beautiful there.  My pictures will never do it justice.  (All these were taken with my iphone and some were edited in instagram.  I will probably kick myself for not taking my "real" camera with me one day.)

Sutton was a trooper, she practically ran 4 four miles chasing butterflies.

This was how I got all four in a picture.  :)

We also visited Talkeetna.

I love it there! It appeals to my inner hippie.

We visited an open air market and I think I had a good conversation with every vendor I visited.

The people were so sweet.

It is very touristy but in a cool way.

And it is VERY, VERY small.  

We ate lunch at the Denali Brewing Co. 

This particular day, Talkeetna broke their hottest day record! 

The next day, they broke that one.

For people that have climatized to  50 degree summers, temps in the 90's were almost unbearable!

Thankfully, the water is cold...after lunch we strolled for to the river to deep our feet in at the base of Mt. McKinely.
